From Cape Town to the Kalahari with Afrikascout
Kalahari. Such a strong name that triggers such cravings. But what is so beautiful and so attractive in this vast wilderness area, where apparently emptiness is only found and no life?
That’s the point and wrong belief, because the Kalahari is actually full of life in which all its inhabitants have developed a mode of adaptation to the harsh conditions of this desert area.
The spectacular sightings start at sunrise up to sunset over the red iron oxide sand dunes and amplified by the occurring silence and our footsteps in that amazing colored sand. Hundreds, thousands of tracks expose to the visitor the obvious presence of an abundant life: the miracle of Nature in a world of advanced technology, overflowing and redundant information, cell phones, computers, media etc… In the Kalahari, you, as a visitor are merely: a man.
The 1000 kms stretch from Cape Town was to reach that wonderful region to get us in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, which we have this great slideshow to display to you here. Enjoy watching what we have edited and keep in mind that the Scout team is available to you anytime you will need to plan your tour in Africa.
